First Impressions – Love Beauty and Planet

I’ve been seeing this new brand everywhere lately! Finally my curiosity (and need for a new shampoo/ conditioner) got the best of me and I decided to give it a try. There are 6 different collections to choose from. I bought the “Hope and Repair” shampoo and conditioner with Coconut Oil and Ylang Ylang. I’m honestly so impressed by this company! They care about the environment, use ethically and sustainably sourced materials and making their products fast rinse so you can take shorter showers and conserve water. Over the past year I’ve been blonde, brunette and copper (thank god for my very patient hairdresser lol). Although my amazing hairdresser always makes sure my hair is healthy, living in such a dry climate takes a serious toll on my hair. I figured I would get this repairing collection because I’ll actually be able to physically see/feel if it works or not in the long run. For now, lets get into the first impressions!

How can you not love the packaging? It’s so bright and pretty! I also love that the bottles are made of 100% recycled materials.

First Impressions – In Shower:

The shampoo felt very nourishing and did not strip my hair of it’s natural oils like some other brands do. The conditioner is definitely quick rinsing and it left my hair with zero knots or tangles (which is a seriously impressive feat).

First Impressions – Dry Hair:

Both products smell divine and the scent lasts on your hair for hours (in a very subtle way, it’s not overpowering at all) . I let my hair air dry because that is when I can really see if my hair likes a product or not. My hair felt super soft, nourished and it wasn’t frizzy at all. The only odd thing I noticed is that it brought out a bit more of a natural wave in my hair, well most of the time my hair dries pin straight. I’m not to sure if that is from something within the products or just how my hair reacts to it. Either way, I’m enjoying my hair having a little extra shape.

Would I recommend it:

I would 100% recommend these products, obviously I’ve only tried the one collection but I am incredibly impressed with it. I can’t wait to see if the product does indeed repair my hair. At this moment I can see myself seriously enjoying this product and repurchasing it when the time comes.

  1. I’ve been seeing these everywhere! They sound soooo nice. I have super picky hair and scalp, so I don’t think I’ll be able to use them. The packaging is so lovely though! xx
